Our Single Day Walks are a fantastic way of introducing yourself to the Cairngorm environment. From loch-side low level meanders to more strenuous mountain hikes, we can customise your day to suit you.
Perhaps you have a specific mountain you wish to conquer such as Ben Avon, Ben Macdui or Lochnagar? Perhaps you would like to experience a day out on the Cromdales with its views to the Moray Firth or would like to walk through the Braes of Glenlivet and over the Ladder Hills. Maybe you are a Munroist and want help in getting to one or more of the more isolated and challenging summits such as Carn Toul, Devils Point and Angels Peak.
Single mountain days that are popular with our clients are:
- The Loch Muick and Lochnagar area
- Ben A’an and Beinn a Bhuird from Corgarff
- The mountains north of Braemar and the Linn of Dee (Carn a Mhaim, Derry Cairngorm, Beinn Bhreac, Beinn a Mheadhion etc.)
- The central Cairngorm Plateau (Ben MacDui, Loch Etchachan, Loch Avon etc.)
We can also arrange lower level walks in the more isolated glens such as Glen Derry, Glen Lui, Glen Avon, Glen Loin, Lairig Ghru and Lairig an Laoigh. Want wildlife, ancient forest or spectacular views? Just let us know what you would like to do, see and experience and we’ll cater to your needs.
We can usually also cater for short notice enquiries, including the evening before… useful when you are looking for good weather windows or you are suddenly searching for something to do! We provide hot drinks, use of a water filtration bottle and safety gear as well as transport within the Cairngorms from your accommodation or base. All we ask is that you have basic walking gear such as a waterproof jacket and trousers, walking boots, day sack and hat and gloves, although we can usually help out when people are missing some of these items. You will also need your packed lunch and enough high energy food to keep you going. Please click here to find out more about what you will need.
Prices vary depending on the size of your group, starting from just £50 per person, per day. We will give you a quote when you enquire. Find out more about our pricing here.
Due to the nature of what we do, we only operate our treks during the snow-free months. This can vary but is usually from the beginning of May until the end of October. However, do contact us if your preferred dates fall out side of this time-frame as we may still be able to accommodate your request. Low level winter walking is always a possibility.Enquire and Book
